K-Electric 

K-Electric is a private power utility company in Pakistan, serving over 3.7 million customers. Quality was at the heart of a recent company transformation, with the quality management system and quality capability prioritised for improvement. By introducing a formal quality governance structure, Quality Champions initiatives, and improvement goals, as well as a capacity building programme to upskill existing employees, K-Electric have successfully embedded a quality culture across all functions and levels of the organisation.

British American Tobacco (BAT) 

BAT’s International Quality Programme (IQP) is an annual, global, quality capability development programme designed to prime the next generation of quality managers across the group. Each year, the programme evolves to meet the business needs, remaining relevant and providing a strong quality education as part of a broader learning framework for BAT employees. IQP involves extensive stakeholder engagement leading to significant improvements in knowledge retention and a reduction of complaints.

LifeScan 

LifeScan is a medical device manufacturer based in Scotland. The apprenticeship programme was established to address the recruitment challenges faced in the remote Scottish Highlands by creating training opportunities for local talent. The programme includes rotations through various departments and it’s training can lead to a business management degree. It has achieved significant success, with apprentices contributing to cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organisation.

Mott MacDonald 

Mott MacDonald's Quality Academy has been developed to address a gap in technical professionalism. It follows a 70-20-10 model: 70% on-the-job learning, 20% mentoring, and 10% theoretical learning. The programme aligns with the CQI Profession Map and includes modules on Context, Governance, Assurance, Improvement and Leadership. To date, the Quality Academy has achieved a 100% retention rate in trainees continuing to work in the profession.
